I never imagined that Islam could successfully spread in the free world. Knowing how misguided and dangerous this ideology is, I assumed it would struggle to survive in societies built on critical thinking, skepticism, and individual freedom. But it has not only survived, it has thrived, even in the most challenging environments. When I see this happening, I find no hope for the distant future.
Beating the System at Its Own Game
Islam, with over two billion adherents and dominance in over 40 countries, somehow manages to maintain its status as a protected minority. This paradox is one of the greatest strategic victories in ideological warfare.
■ In Muslim-majority countries, Islam is untouchable because to criticize it means death, imprisonment, or exile. Theocratic regimes enforce strict blasphemy laws, and even in so-called “moderate” Muslim countries, dissent from Islamic doctrine is met with extreme hostility.
■ In liberal Western countries, Islam is equally sacrosanct, but for a different reason. Here it hides behind the label of a persecuted minority, protected by laws against “Islamophobia”. Any criticism is immediately dismissed as racism or intolerance.
This strategic positioning creates a perfect defense mechanism: a double shield that protects Islam from scrutiny in both authoritarian and democratic societies.
Boiling in a quiet fire until the takeover
The expansion of Islam in the West is not taking place through conquest or war, but through gradual infiltration and a long-term game of demographic, cultural and political influence.
Demographic growth as a weapon
■ The Muslim population in Western countries is growing rapidly, because the birth rate among religious groups is among the highest.
■ In countries like France, the UK and Sweden, Muslim communities are growing at a pace that will change political and social dynamics for decades to come.
Weaponizing victimhood to suppress criticism
■ By continually portraying themselves as oppressed minorities, Muslims acquire legal and cultural protections that make Islam immune to criticism.
■ Concepts like Islamophobia laws and hate speech policies are not used to protect individuals from discrimination, but to protect Islam itself from intellectual challenge.
Gradual cultural and political influence
■ Islam does not need to conquer the West, but it does need to embed itself in Western institutions.
■ Muslim politicians, activists and influencers are pushing for policies that serve Islamic interests, ranging from special provisions to legal exemptions.
The future: a slow-burning transformation
Islam does not fight to win through immediate force, but by playing the long game, a slow and steady transformation that is already underway. The West, with its obsession with tolerance and inclusivity, is unwittingly paving the way for its own ideological subjugation.
